I'm building this to get deeper into OpenGL. It has a low poly look to it which fits the horror vibe well. It generates terrain from a heightmap with a skybox and renders a full forest using instanced rendering and model loading. Grass uses double-crossed 2D panes, an old school trick that still looks solid. Lighting and fog do most of the work for atmosphere.
There's a flashlight, a radio with a glowing LCD screen, ambient sound, and footstep audio. A full debug mode lets me adjust everything live with ImGui and ImGuizmo, positions, scale, fog, lighting, and rendering radius. Currently working on animations.
